Statute

Following the regulation of the Conferenza Episcopale Italiana (CEI) dealing with church archives, cardinal Carlo Caffarra published the Statute of the Archivio Generale Arcivescovile on May 27^th 2015. Simultaneously, in order to protect and organise other diocesan archives which often lacked rules of preservation and consultation, he decreed the regulation of the ecclesiastical archives under the jurisdiction of the archbishop of Bologna (Regolamento degli Archivi storici soggetti alla giurisdizione dell’Arcivescovo di Bologna) following the guidelines provided by the Associazione Archivistica Ecclesiastica and approved by the Consiglio Episcopale Permanente during the session held from March 27-30^th 1995.
